We are very excited to be starting Forest School in Early Years at Eaton Primary School from September 2017.
We have a fantastic woodland area which is an ideal location for us to go out and explore, have fun and learn in.
Forest School sessions will be led by our new Teaching Assistant, Miss McAdam, who is a qualified teacher and Level 3 Forest School Leader.
Each afternoon session will last approximately 1.5 hours. Children will be in a group of no more than 15 children.
To support the running of Forest School sessions, we are looking for volunteers with the required skill set, to help on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday afternoon between 1.30-3.00pm.
Volunteers will be required to be available to help every week on their chosen afternoon session.
If you are interested in applying to be a Forest School Volunteer please let us know. There will be a short interview with the Early Years Leader and Forest School Leader as part of the selection process for volunteers.
All volunteers will be required to have a fully enhanced DBS check before taking up any role and maybe asked to undergo training such a first aid.
We would be grateful to receive any donations of unwanted pots, pans and watering cans or any gardening tools to help us to further develop our Forest area. Donations can be put in the ‘drop off box’ in your child’s classroom.
