We offer an exciting range of clubs which your child can get involved with.

 

The following is what is being offered for the autumn term.

Recorder Lessons (Y2-6) 

 

The school offers recorder lessons for students at £3 per weekly session, this is taught on a self-employed basis by Miss Duthie, with booking via the School Office.

 

Recorder takes place on Wednesdays at 8am.

 

Beginners Recorder does currently have spaces. Please email office@eatonprimary.org.uk stating your child's name/class and desired instrument.

Keyboard Lessons (Y2-Y6)

 

The school offers keyboard lessons for students at £3 per weekly session, this is taught on a self-employed basis by Miss Duthie, with booking via the School Office.

 

Beginners keyboard takes place on Thursdays at 8am with the intermediate class at 12:30pm.

 

Keyboard does have a waiting list. Please email office@eatonprimary.org.uk stating your child's name/class and desired instrument.

Piano Time 1 by Pauline Hall

Flute Lessons (Y3-6)

 

The school offers Flute lessons for students at £3 per weekly session, this is taught on a self-employed basis by Miss Duthie, with booking via the School Office.

 

Beginners Flute lessons take place on Wednesday lunchtimes with the Intermediate group on Friday lunchtimes.

The current beginners class is full but we do have a waiting list for the next beginners group.

Rocksteady (Reception to Y6) Mondays during lesson-time

 

Rocksteady attends Eaton Primary School on Mondays to perform music lessons during the school day.

 

Lessons are open for children from Reception to Y6 and they can choose to play either vocals, electric guitar, drums, bass, or keyboards in their very own band. All instruments are provided and no previous experience is necessary.

 

Children progress through a 300-skill curriculum learning band, performance and instrument skills and work towards the official Rocksteady Ofqual-regulated, exam-free music qualification, accredited by Trinity College London.

 

You can follow your child’s progress through your own online portal via the Rocksteady Parent Timeline as well as seeing how far your child has come when they perform in their termly concert.

 

You can sign your child up for lessons online at https://www.rocksteadymusicschool.com/info-for-parents/  and see what remaining bands/instruments there are.

 

If you have any questions about Rocksteady band lessons, you can call 0330 113 0330 (local rate, office hours are Mon – Thurs 8am – 8pm, Fridays 8am – 6pm).

 

Choir Lessons (Tuesdays)

 

Miss Duthie will be continuing with her KS2 auditioned choir (Tuesdays 3:15-4pm) but will not be taking on any new applicants for the autumn term as  Miss Duthie will re-audition in September.

 

Mr Gardner runs his ‘Improvers’ choir on Tuesdays 3:15-4pm. This choir is open for Year 1 to Year 6.

The aim of this choir is for those to then progress onto Miss Duthie’s auditioned choir. Those students who already have places will be automatically continued for the summer term.

 

To apply for Mr Gardner's choir please email the school office on office@eatonprimary.org.uk, this is currently full but we have a waiting list.

Bob’s Fun Footy (Tuesdays 3:15-4:15pm) Years 1 & 2

 

3:15pm - 4:15pm on Tuesdays: 10th September to 15th October (6 weeks)

 

I am a qualified FA coach with a background in Physical Education. I have liability insurance, First Aid certificate, a DBS and safeguarding training. The main aim of the sessions is for the children to have lots of fun and to develop their skills in a safe environment. I have a games-based approach with children having as much time with the ball as possible through ball mastery games; 1v1s; & small-sided games. Lessons will take place on the school field.

 

Please bring shin pads and a drink. £5 per session = £30 for the 6 week course.

We hope to have Bob provide football lessons for older students in the summer term when he has more availability. Bob currently runs a session for older children at CNS on Wednesday evenings 6:30-7:30pm and a Y5 training session at Eaton Park 6-7pm on Tuesdays, please contact Bob direct for more information.

Ukulele Club For Years 2 and 3 (Wednesdays) and Years 4-6 (Mondays)

 

Learn to play the ukulele with music leader Clara Wiseman.

 

This popular 4-stringed instrument is a great introduction to making music - it’s fun to sing along with and perfect for small hands.

Ukuleles provided until you get your own.

KS2 Netball (Y3-6) Mondays

Mondays 3:15-4:15pm

Mrs Moggan plays in the division one Norwich Netball League and will be running mixed lessons to 20 students.

 

Monday 9th September to Monday 21st October. Mrs Moggan plays in the division one Norwich Netball League and will be running mixed lessons for up to 20 students. All students that were enrolled in the summer term will have an automatic place on this course. Any new applicants need to apply via School Cloud.

 

Please note that this club will be weather dependent, and we will advise you of cancellations via SMS

Gymnastics - Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 students (Fridays)

Premier have partnered up with British Gymnastics to become their only nationwide primary school delivery partner. As a ‘foundation sport’, gymnastics uses strength, stability, flexibility, coordination and balance and has been shown to improve attention span.

 

It’s all about teaching children the fundamental movement skills they need to lead a physically active and healthy life, full of sport and recreation.

 

This course runs from Friday 13th September to Friday 13th December.

 

£5.78 X 13 sessions = £75.14 for the course.
