Homework
We have listened to the feedback from the last parent survey which showed us that parents wanted the homework to be reviewed and clarified.
We have looked carefully at research into effective homework and understand that homework should be purposeful and linked to their learning in class so that it has the greatest impact upon children’s learning and knowledge retention. Therefore we have made some changes to homework, making it more meaningful and manageable by setting work which supports reading fluency and provides a chance to practice and apply their knowledge taught in the class.
We encourage parents to support their children in completing weekly homework tasks, but we also want to ensure that homework is completed independently and not overly reliant on parental input.
We appreciate the feedback from our parents and are committed to continually reviewing and improving our policies and practices to ensure that our students receive the best possible education.
